Our Beliefs

God is the Creator

In Genesis 1, God spoke the world into existence. He is the author of life and therefore, the ultimate authority of our lives. His ways are best and we desire to know His will and worship Him as King.

The Bible is God’s Word

The Bible is the word of God. In it He reveals His will and wisdom. We believe “the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

Sin Separates us from God

Sin is rebellion against the nature and authority of God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the consequences of sin is death (Romans 3:23 & 6:23).

Christ Alone Saves the Lost

Salvation is from Christ alone. His sacrificial life, atoning death on the cross, burial, and resurrection from the dead model what it means to live in perfect submission to God’s will. Through faithful obedience to Jesus, we are “buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

Worship is Pure and from the Heart

Worship is for God, not for man. We seek simplicity and purity in all that we do, whether it is singing with simply our voices or drawing from the Bible alone in how we seek to glorify and honor Him.

Local Autonomy

All of our work as a church is determined by what the Bible says and the members of the local body. We are not beholden to larger organizations or institutions. The funds we raise through our weekly collection are used to support a local evangelist and continue the work of the local church. Our elders and deacons were selected from our members by our members.
